CD-ROM’s. and DVD’Combo Drives and Writers

Laptop CD-ROM’s. DVD’s and Writers:

Laptops now come out with a number of different CD-DVD - DVD/RW - CDRW configurations.
Whilst the connection interface on all is the standard ATAPI interface, there can be differences in the drive IDE setting and bezel draw which requires only the make an model of the previous drive fitted to the machine.
E-mail the make and model of the laptop and the make and model number of the optical drive

Faulty CD-ROM’s, DVD’s and Writers are not considered viable to repair. They need to be replaced with a fully working drive.

We offer four different types of service on CD-ROM's:

  1. If the replacement is a job that you consider you can do yourself, we can supply the basic CD-ROM drive used by the machine. We will need from you, the manufactures name and model number of the CD-ROM Drive itself. Prices advised on request.
  2. If the CD-ROM drive is encased in its own case from which you cannot determine the manufactures name and model number, it can be sent to us for replacement of the internal CD-ROM drive. Prices advised on request.
  3. If the CD-ROM Drive is built into the laptops construction, the whole machine will have to be sent to us for the drive to be replaced. Prices advised on request.
  4. If you have no CD-ROM Drive at all, and wish one specific for your machine, we suggest you browse through our database for the item you need. We do not have all cased Laptop CD-ROM drives. Our database is upgraded once a week with our current stock.
